4 for the weekend, vol. 47: Polaris Prize on TV

See what all the "Bulat" is about: Basia's on the Polaris telecast tonight.
Just when you thought all the pomp and circumstantial evidence from this year’s Polaris Music Prize was over, there’s a new opportunity to experience Caribou’s thrill of victory, and everyone else’s agony of defeat. Citytv will be broadcasting this not-so-average Award Show tonight at 7 pm (your local time). Now’s your chance to see live performances from Vancouver’s Black Mountain, Basisa Bulat and Shad (both from London), Toronto’s Holy Fuck, Ottawaian Kathleen Edwards, Montreal’s Plants And Animals, and PE Islanders Two Hours Traffic, plus exclusive video performances from Stars, The Weakerthans, and Polaris 2008 winner, Caribou.
To celebrate, this week’s (non-competition) 4FTW post is dedicated to some (of my favourite) Polaris nominees from this past year.
