CONTEST: (weewerk) records is 6!
4 for the weekend, vol. 48

(weewerk) records, (no, the lower case letters and parentheses are not a type-o) Canada’s favourite folk and alt-country label, is celebrating six years of releasing fantastic music with a special compilation album featuring their stable of artists, including Great Lake Swimmers, Fembots, Two-Minute Miracles, and Audiotransparent.

QBiM is happy to be joining in on the celebrations.  Thanks to the fine folks at (weewerk), we have three prize packs consisting of a copy of the compilation CD, (weewerk) is 6!, and Tony Dekker of Great Lake Swimmers’ soundtrack EP to the documentary Song Sung Blue (as featured earlier this week here).  All you have to do is email your name and mailing address to CONTESTS [at] QUICKBEFOREITMELTS [dot] COM and put “Happy Birthday (weewerk)!” in the subject line.  If your name gets drawn, then you get to go home with a loot bag of goodies from this birthday party.  The contest will close Nov. 27th at 11:59 p.m. so there’s plenty of time to get yourself in this game.

In keeping with the party atmosphere and theme, this week’s four tracks are all from the (weewerk) compilation.  Enjoy!
