Spy vs. spy

Come on, I dare you not to love “The Fade To Black”, the sparkling, sleek, urban pop single from Secret Dakota Ring (basically OK Go‘s Andy Ross).  It’s the kind of unpretentious, unrelentingly pop music that gets under your skin and into your head almost the instant you listen to it.  I guarantee that any self-respecting pop music fan is going to have to play this track on repeat once they hear it.

Secret Dakota Ring released their second album, Cantarell, on November 11 (Secret Business Records) and is available from the label directly, or through some of your fine/favourite online digital music retailers.

Faunts have released a remix album that includes new interpretations of tracks from their first two records, High Expectations / Low Results and M4 EP.  There’s some pretty impressive mix-masters behind the decks, including San Serac, and Cadence Weapon.

Guilt By Association Vol. 2 is a collection of today’s indie artists covering songs from the the Top 40 charts of the 80s and 90s.  You can hear My Brightest Diamond do “Tainted Love” (which was a cover itself, wasn’t it?) by clicking here.
