I admit that I was skeptical about this album--I was coming from the opposite direction of you. I loved Kanye's Graduation and his prior album. I immediately wrote this album off when I heard Love Lockdown and it wasn't what I expected. But then I started to give it a chance and it is so much more! Lyrically it is a large change from what he has done in the past--it is a more dark, more troubled cd from an artist typically preaching virulently of the Good Life.
