Sorry for the brevity of today’s post, but lately I’ve busier than an elf fighting to meet his hobby horse quota.  Some it may not be a post of quantity by the time I get done, but rest assured it’s definitely one of quality.

And by quality, I do mean fun.  Hot fun.  Hot Panda fun.  Hot Panda are an Edmonton-based quartet that deliver punky, late 70s-inspired indie pop that induces toe-tapping and sing-along-ing.  They’ve set the stage for  number of big(ger) name artists since starting last year, and are eagerly awaiting the release of their debut album in early ‘09.  They have an EP available, called Whale Headed Girl, but it’s not too clear if any of the tracks from that album are going to show up on the album.  What is clear is that Hot Panda are no slouches when it comes to having some fun, whether in the studio or (from what I’ve heard) in their energetic live shows.  We all need a little fun in our lives.  We all need a little hot fun.  We all need a little Hot Panda fun.  I need to stop writing right now.

I’ve been wondering when we were going to hear more from The Boy Least Likely To, and lo and behold they’re back, with their very own holiday single!  It’s actually a very pretty song about feeling lost and alone, and if it’s any indication of what we’re going to get on their sophomore album, The Law of the Playground, then we’re in for a real treat when it hits stores in early March.
