Is it just me, or do the verses of the new U2 song “Get On Your Boots” bare more than just a passing similarity to Elvis Costello’s “Pump It Up”?

You are not wrong. It’s an unfortunate mix of that song, some Dylan, and horrible Alice In Chains vocal stylings.

I can’ remember a time, about 20 years ago, when I’d have been shocked to hear myself say this, but the Elvis Costello song is about a hundred times better.
