I was hoping that on June 1, I would be able to launch the new look of Quick Before It Melts, but alas, technology doth make cowards of us all (well, me at least). There’s a few bugs yet to work out, and it’s been one of those weekends where I just haven’t been able to get anything to work right.

Fighting with CSS code all weekend has left me bereft of any ideas for today’s post, meaning I’m running low on blog currency. With that in mind, I thought I would turn your attention to a neat little track by Saskatoon’s The Deep Dark Woods, whose sound I would describe as a roots/alt-country. I’m currently giving their sophomore album, Winter Hours, a listen for Polaris consideration, and while I don’t think it’ll make my list of top 5, it’s definitely worth a listen if you’re into the genre.
I hope to get back to full posts by tomorrow and maybe even surprise everyone with the launch of the new site design, too.
