CONTEST: Stars DVD Are We Here Now?

I thought I would bring it to the attention of my Toronto-based readers (if there is such a thing) that Bruce McDonald, the director of Hard Core Logo, and Shadow Shows is working with Arts & Crafts on a new feature film starring Broken Social Scene called This Movie Is Broken. In their words:
The idea behind the film is to create a portrait of a hot July day in Toronto and so over the next few weeks we’re looking for you to help us out by capturing footage from around the city. We are interested in the weird and wonderful images that define for you the Summer of 2009: it’s the sun rising over Rexdale, it’s a Fringe play taking over the loading dock of Honest Ed’s, it’s couples making out on the TTC, it’s the growing piles of garbage at Christie Pits — it’s whatever catches your eye.
We like kissing. We like heat. We like faces. We like romance. We like neighborhoods. The important thing is to be interesting and be artistic. Nothing’s too small. Just pick images that are significant to you and keep your lens on them. THE ONLY THING WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN IS ANY FOOTAGE OF THE BAND… SO PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAMERAS TO THE SHOWS!

And to go along with this bit of cinematic news, I have a cinematic contest. I recently got my hands on a copy of Are We Here Now?, an excellent documentary featuring Stars that was produced around the time of In Our Bedroom After the War. The DVD Features performances from Spain, Canada, Switzerland, and the USA, plus videos for a number of favourite Stars songs. To secure yourself this loverly DVD (along with a few added A&C bonus goodies!) simply email CONTESTS [at] QUICKBEFOREITMELTS [dot] COM with “Are We Here Now?” in the subject line and your mailing details in the body, OR Add yourself to our ever-growing list of QBiM followers on NetworkedBlogs via your Facebook account and leave a comment on the Quick Before It Melts wall.
