My plan this morning was to sit down and write a couple of posts for later in the week, but I was shocked to find news in my Facebook feed (finally it proves some use) that Morrissey collapsed one song into his set at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, southwest England. Reports suggest that Moz had just finished “This Charming Man” before passing out and having to be taken from the stage by his crew. The audience waited around for half an hour before being told that Morrissey had left the building and was seriously ill.
Twitter rumours suggested that the 50 year old singer had suffered a heart attack, but according to his official website today, he’s in stable condition with no mention of what may have actually happened. Morrissey was heading out on the road in support of a new b-sides compilation, Swords. His official website states that more news regarding his condition will be released as its made available.
