4 for the weekend 12•12•09

I know sometime back I wrote about Belgium’s The Go Find, which originally started off as a solo project for Dieter Sermeus, but has now grown into a full band.  Their third album, Everybody Knows It’s Gonna Happen Only Not Tonight is coming out in February on the very hip Morr Music label.  The band have released the title track as a teaser for their laid-back, dreamy electro-pop sounding disc:

Keeping with the Scandinavian theme a bit longer (it’s been awhile since we were on a Scandinavian kick on QBiM, eh?), Shout Out Louds are coming back in 2010 with a new album on Merge Records called Work.  “Walls” is available for download now from the Merge site.

The Antlers have had an amazing 2009, and as thing ramp up to close out the year, I’m certain that they’ll be appearing on at least one (hint hint) year-end best-of list, and most likely many more.  NRP has a new version of “Sylvia” from their brilliant Hospice album streaming:

Awhile back, The Antlers also visited the Daytrotter studios and recorded a session there that’s well worth hearing, too:

This is great! I am an independent singer songwriter and I learn a lot from reading blogs like this – thanks so much for sharing.
