Myriad harbour
There’s a lot of random information crowding the inbox this week so I’m lightening the load and passing along some goodness. The big news is that The New Pornographers have a new album in the works! Lysten.ca report that Together is due on May 4 and will feature nine A.C. Newman songs and three by Dan Bejar, performed by the full 8-member lineup of Carl, Dan, John Collins, Neko Case, Kurt Dahle, Kathryn Calder, Todd Fancey and Blaine Thurier, alongside guest spots by Annie Clark (St. Vincent), Zach Condon (Beirut), Will Sheff (Okkervil River), and the Dap-Kings Horns.

Fred Schneider of The B-52′s has hooked up with a couple of guys and they’re calling themselves The Superions, dressing in vintage Team USA t-shirts and making a holy racket, apparently. I’ll be honest, I’ve not yet fully explored this music, so it may be absolutely awful, but it’s Fred, fer beehive’s sake! so at the very least it’s going to be fun:

Buffetlibre DJs have remixed The Antlers‘ “Two” and it’s not at all what I’d have expected from The Antlers:

Turin Brakes return! They who looked set to steal the thunder from Coldplay at the start of the decade are back with a new single and impending album:

Laura Barrett is touring with The Magnetic Fields and she has a new video out for “The Wood Between Worlds”:
What in the world is Richard Ashcroft going on about in these cryptic emails being sent about? apparently, some new music. The NME has an exclusive look at “Are You Ready?” I like it.
