The Besnard Lakes are roaring back

(photo: Jessica Eaton)
This may end up being a short post, but it is oh so sweet: The Besnard Lakes are back! We’ll have to wait until March 9 to hear all of The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night, but you can hear the album’s first single, “Albatross” right frickin’ now! It’s great! I’m loving it’s fuzzy neo-psychedelic sound, and Olga Goreas’s vocals sound ethereal and spacey. “Albatross” has cranked up the anticipation meter to ‘morning wood’ for the full LP.
In other Besneard Lakes news, Mark Ruffalo’s directorial debut movie, Sympathy For Delicious, has been accepted into official competition at the Sundance Film Festival. The movie’s score was written by the band.
