CONTEST: Hannah Georgas and Said The Whale vinyl

(photo:Vanessa Heins)
Now this is good–for the environment! The Malahat Revue rolled its way across British Columbia this month, featuring Hannah Georgas, Said The Whale, Jeremy Fisher and Aidan Knight. That’s nothing groundbreaking, but this caravan’s mode of transportation was: they toured B.C. on bicycle. They carried as much of their gear as they comfortably could themselves across 500 kilometres while a single vehicle carried the rest of the heavy gear for them. Jeremy Fisher has already toured across North America by bike three times, so he acted as the veteran spear-heading this eco-tour.
The Malahat Revue wrapped up on July 18 at Vancouver’s Folk Music Festival, but you can still catch some of that spirit by entering this here contest. Up for grabs is a vinyl edition of Said The Whale’s Islands Disappear and Georgas’ This Is Good (which she’s autographed for you!). These 12″ platters can be yours just by heading over to Quick Before It Melts’ Facebook Page, “liking” it if you haven’t already, and then leaving me a note on either the Wall or the Comments section below the link to this post telling me why you’d like to win this pair of LPs. Easy as riding a bike, no?
Thanks again to Julie at Freshly Pressed for helping out with this contest.

I came here to join the contest… but now I think Melissa deserves it more. Here’s my vote for Melissa. Can I do that? I’m gonna do that.
