CONTEST: La Strada and The Grass CDs

QBiM's 4th Anniversary contests start with discs from It Kills, The Grass and La Strada

Cheers to Matt at Pigeon Row PR in Halifax for providing a pair of prize packs to kick off our anniversary celebrations.  Here’s what we have on tap to quench your music thirst:  2 prizes each consisting of a copies of It Kills’ self-titled release (recently featured on QBiM here), The Grass’s Rogue Waves and La Strada’s New Home.

La Strada formed in Brooklyn in 2007, and quickly made a name for themselves with raucous, foot-stomping shows alongside the likes of Cuff The Duke and Hey Rosetta!  New Home was recorded in Philadelphia and Queens, NY with Kyle  “Slick” Johnson (Cymbals Eat Guitars, Modest Mouse).  James Craft, the band’s primary songwriter, describes New Home‘s songs as being about “starting a new life – about that risk, and the yearning and excitement in it. The album is about being unsettled, but  knowing that you’re going in the right direction.”
