CONTEST: The Wilderness of Manitoba and
The Mountains & The Trees

Two QBiM favourite are touring together this summer and you could win their CDs!

No true reader of Quick Before It Melts needs an introduction to either of these bands: The Wilderness of Manitoba and The Mountains & The Trees have featured prominently on our pages all year, and both have released their debut albums in short succession.  They teamed up for a series of dates together this summer, and will be in Penticton B.C. tonight (no location is specified on their Facebook Event page as of writing this, though), and then onto Edmonton’s Haven Social Club July 27, the All Citizens Shop in Bruno, SK on July 29, Caffe Sola in Saskatoon on July 30, Winnipeg’s West End Cultural Center July 31, followed by a gig August 1 at Gimli, MB’s Islendingadagruinn;  On August 5 The Moutinas & The Trees will be in the nation’s capital as part of the Blackbox Concert Series at Cube Gallery with my homeboy Daniel Romano before rejoining The Wilderness of Manitoba on August 11 at Windsor’s Phog Lounge, and wrapping the whole thing up on August 12 in Toronto as part of the Summerworks Theatre festival’s music showcase at the Lower Ossington Theatre.  Phew!
