Live forever

Shad and Dallas Green collaboration hits the airwaves

Skate4Cancer.com says its mission is to spread the positive message that the way to combat cancer’s spreading plague is through open, honest discussions and arming ourselves with knowledge.  Shad and Dallas Green are helping Skate4Cancer spread that message with a spirited and inspired collaboration: Shad & Dallas released the Two Songs EP this week , whose proceeds will go to skate4cancer.com.  “Live Forever” is backed by a remix of Shad’s track “Listen” (from last year’s Polaris Prize shortlisted TSOL).  Shad met Dallas when he toured with Alexisonfire, but he’s long been a fan of Green’s solo project, City and Colour.  It turns out the admiration was mutual, and when life settled down and offered an opportunity for the two to work together, they made the best of it.

It’s just a matter of taste. If Dallas would do a collab with a Norwegian metal band, I’d be saying the same thing.

I just don’t like it.

Shad is one of the best indie rappers around, and Dallas is amazing in all of his endeavors. This collab is spectacular and we need a whole lot more of it.

You know, Green is a skateboarder and has been skating since the age of 8.
