Leftovers

PS I Love You, Diamnd Rings, Sloan and Caribou

Our friends in the UK are going to get a chance to hear PS I Love You up close and in person when the duo crosses the pond for their first ever European dates later this Spring.  Meet Me At The Muster Station is coming out in the UK on April 26.  Meanwhile, fans in Canada can catch them on tour with buddy Diamond Rings from now through to the end of March (with a break in between for a run of shows at SXSW).  There’s also a new 7″ single available soon, featuring Diamond Rings on the title cut, and a pair of new PS I Love You tracks on the B side.

Now I feel old.  Sloan are celebrating 20 years as a band with their soon-to-be-released 10th studio LP, The Double Cross (May 5).  Here’s the first taste of it:

Last year, Caribou held a remix contest that let fans re-imagine “Sun” off of Swim to see who could come up with the best alternate version.  One fan didn’t stop at just remixing one track; an artist by the name of Altrice went on to remix the whole bloody record, and calling it Stem. You can listen to Atrice’s version of Dan Snaith’s finest hour at Sound Cloud, and if you like it, you can but it from City Slang.
