Sentimental gentleman

I don’t know about you, but this weekend couldn’t get here fast enough, but now that it’s on the doorstep, I’m realizing that I’ll probably be busier in the next two days than I’ve been the past five. I’ll be taking a few precious moments to get of the merry-go-round and decompress with some new tunes, and at the top of the list is “Sentimental Gentleman”, the title track from Snailhouse‘s new LP, schedule for release in May.
Snailhouse is the name Mike Feuerstack of The Wooden Stars uses when he records solo, and he’s usually joined on record by any number of contributors. I don’t have any details of who’ll crop up on Sentimental Gentleman yet, but I can tell you that this song’s lovely french horn solo is played by Pietro Amatro of The Luyas and Bell Orchestre.
Snailhouse’s current tour will hit Canada closer to the album’s release: May 26 Toronto, ON – The Dakota; May 27 Ottawa, ON – Maverick’s; May 29 Montreal, QC – Sala Rosa; June 02 St.Andrews, NB – Sunbury Shores; June 03 Parkindale, NB – Parkindale Hall; June 04 Hampton, NB – VIntage Bistro.
