Diamond Rings remixes some of his favourite new tunes

John O’Reagan of Diamond Rings has been spending the spring sprucing up his studio at home for some much needed renos and slicing and dicing some of his favourite new music for a series of remixes he’s calling the “Remix Rainbow”.  Over the last five weeks, he’s released one new remix each Tuesday, with the last scheduled to arrive on June 21 (three days from now), the same day that Special Affections gets re-released worldwide by Astrelwerks.

First up in the Rainbow was Miracle Fortress‘ “Raw Spectacle”, followed by Austra‘s “Lose It”, Motëm’s “True Douglas”, “Why Even Try” by  Theophilus London, and last week’s release, Handsome Furs’ “What About Us”. We’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out what the last installment is, but you can spend the weekend spinning the five remixes already released.

Congrats to O’Reagn who found out a few days ago that Special Affections was long listed for the Polaris Music Prize.
