Remix and match
I’ll “officially” be revisiting Feel It Break next Monday as part of the QBiM summer-long Polaris Music Prize coverage, but thought that things could get started a bit early with the (old) news of their impending remix EP, Sparkle. It will be available digitally on July 26th and on 12 inch vinyl August 23rd from Paper Bag Records, and features remixes of “Spellwork” from New York duo MNDR, Planningtorock’s remixes of “Lose It”, a remix of “Beat and the Pulse” by Still Going and DJ Steffi. The digital release also features bonus remixes by Young Galaxy.
While on tour in L.A., Austra stopped by the studios of Room 205 to record a special set. Check out the video of “Darken Her Horse” below. Gives us a sense of what we might see at the Polaris Gala on September 19. They tell us more clips of Austra’s session are coming up in the next few days, so check back there if you want to see more.
