Sell out while you can
So this is weird. I was out of the house all day yesterday, and when I got home I was too beat to sit down and write today’s post. I figured after a good night’s sleep I’d be able to get up and write it in the morning. So i did just that, but when I sat down to start writing, I found a draft post with nothing but the title “Sell out while you can” scheduled for today. The only problem–for the life of me I couldn’t remember who or what I was planning on writing about. I did eventually figure it out (“Sell Out While You Can” is the name of a video I posted over on the QBiM Facebook page by Little Foot Long Foot the other day) but the title also clicked with a couple of items I had waiting in the queue for posting:

Also riding the money train, The Drums are returning with a new LP this fall called Portamento, and recently debuted its first single, “Money” over at Stereogum:

Being a fan of the first LP, I’m not sure that I like this new track. It’s not that it ventures far from their formula and sound, but it doesn’t have the immediate appeal that “Forever And Ever Amen” did. Maybe it just needs some time to grow on me.
