Gosh darn damn
Hey there, Rebekah Higgs, long time no see. It was back in November 2010 when you independently released a teaser EP called Little Voice, offering the first taste of what we could expect on your sophomore solo LP. And now here it is!
Odd Fellowship is being described as a “family affair” in that it feature Higgs’ pals Nathan Doucet and Jason Vautour from her alter-ego band, Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees, and the “little voice” of her three-year-old nephew, Easton. You can also describe it as a multi-functional record in that it’s able to single-handedly kick any party into high gear, or provide the perfect backdrop to a mellow gathering on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The record hit the shops this week, released on Hidden Pony Records, and Higgs is planning on hitting the road again (she’s been a touring tour-de-force for the past five years) in support:
Sept 8 – London, ON @ Call the Office
Sept 10 – Hamilton, ON @ Supercrawl
Sept 15 – Toronto, ON @ The Rivoli
Sept 16 – Wakefield, QC @ The Blacksheep Inn
Sept 17 – Montreal, QC @ IL Motore
Sept 22 – Montreal, QC @ Pop Montreal
Sept 27 – Halifax, NS @ The Carleton
Sept 28 – Moncton, NB @ Plan B
Sept 29 – Fredericton, NB @ The Capital
Sept 30 – Saint John, NB @ Peppers Pub
Oct 01 – Quebec City, QC @ The Scanner
