My prediction of the Polaris winner is going to be Destroyer – Kaputt, because I think Dan Bejar has what the Polaris jury is looking for. Kaputt has the good musicality, but also the weird umph that usually exists in the album of past winners.

I predict Austra will win.

I don’t have a prediction. If Destroyer or Timber Timbre win – I will not be disappointed. But,I really do want Ron Sexsmith to win. The first time I heard his ‘Get In Line’ on the March Issue of Word ‘Now Hear This’ I ran out and bought the album. He is a national treasure and needs to be recognized.

I think that Ron Sexsmith will take it because he is so talented and deserves recognition

I don’t think they will win, but I liked AF’s The Suburbs. Thx for the chance to win a great giveaway!

With Arcade Fire likely winning Grammy’s and Juno’s for their album, it seems kind of strange that they won’t take this too. Loved the Austra album though!!

I’d normally say Arcade Fire, and I am rooting for them because The Suburbs is incredible, however I think the jury is going to go with something more obscure. My prediction is Colin Stetson, honorable mention to Braids and Arcade Fire.
