Sweet chariot

If you’re a fan of The Mountains & The Trees and Fisticuffs (and if not, then you should be), you’re also going to be quiet taken with Jordan Klassen.  His new record, Repentance is a way’s away from being officially released, but he’s already offered a sample of what you can expect from it.  “Go To Me” throws whistles, ukes, glocks, and horns into the mix, making a little melodic masterpiece of the whole thing.

Others have compared him to Sufjan Stevens, and while I can see the parallels, Klassen truly has a style all his own.  “Go To Me” is like a little movie with its own dramatic arch, one you can watch over and over again and find something new in it each time.  I’m very excited to hear what the rest of the album will have in store.
